A Musical Present from “Martha’s Trouble”

The band Martha's Trouble stopped by The Community Cultural & Conference Center in Opelika on December 7 for a holiday concert and interview we taped for Troy Public Radio's Community Focus. They played music from their albums: "This Christmas" & "Christmas Lights" and really got things swinging. Scholarships

The Arts Association of East Alabama offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students who are residents of Lee County, Alabama to continue their studies in the arts.


COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Three $1000 Scholarships are awarded annually by audition to graduating high school seniors.

  • The Carrie Samford Giles Fine Arts Scholarship
  • The Earl Peacock Fine Arts Scholarship
  • The Spann-Freeman Fine Arts Scholarship

To apply, download the scholarship application form; familiarize yourself with any requirements and deadlines; and submit the completed application and letters to The Arts Association of East Alabama by April 15, 2011. The scholarship audition date is May 10, 2011

SUMMER SCHOLARSHIPS

The Wally Moon Scholarships for Summer Studies in the Arts awards two-thousand dollars ($2000) annually among current freshman, sophomore, and junior high school students for summer study in the arts.


To apply, download the scholarship application form; familiarize yourself with any requirements and deadlines; and submit the completed application and letters to The Arts Association of East Alabama by May 13, 2011.
