SCHOLARSHIPS

The Arts Association of East Alabama is pleased to offer financial assistance for students enrolled in school systems throughout Lee County to attend arts programs, camps, institutes, and festivals for enhanced study opportunities in the arts including creative writing, dance, theater, music, film and animation, and visual arts. Up to $3,000 is available to be distributed among the recipients selected for awards. Applications should be submitted no later than June 7, 2024, to be considered for the current round of funding.


Students interested in applying should meet the following criteria: 

  1. Be a resident of Lee County. 

  2. Currently enrolled in the 9th – 11th grade. 

  3. Must have an application submitted to a study program, with acceptance already confirmed or pending. 

  4. Provide contact information for persons familiar with the student’s talent and financial need. 

  5. Complete the AAEA Enhanced Student Arts Opportunities scholarship application. 

  6. Submit the application no later than Friday, June 7, 2024.

  7. Be available for audition/interview; or provide visual arts portfolio, writing samples, performance video, or links to film/animation work. 

    The Scholarship Committee will review the applications, select recipients, and notify them of their awards.
