Community
Founded in 2012 by Mrs. Mary Slaton, the East Alabama Community Band is an adult community band that rehearses weekly on Monday evenings in the band room at Auburn Jr. High School, 405 South Dean Road, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The band is directed and conducted by Mr. Joshua Wine, a local-area band director & music educator.
Our goals are as follows:
• Provide a high-quality musical experience.
• Musically provide for and engage our community.
• Reignite a love for playing in our members.
• Build relationships with other musicians in our area.
• Have a great time making music in a fun, low-stress environment!
The band specializes in both standard and newly-composed Wind Band Repertoire, Holiday Music, Folk Songs, Orchestral Transcriptions, and Pops music like Broadway selections, Movie Soundtracks and so much more!
We would love to have you join us at any point in the season, and we definitely have a place for you! If you have any questions, reach out to our director, Joshua Wine at jwinemusic@gmail.com
